British poster artist Graham Humphreys celebrated with Halloween exhibition

03 Oct

If you are a fan of awesome ’80s horror posters and/or movies, it would be best to get yourself all the way down to Nightmares & Deadites: The Dark Art Of Graham Humphreys on the Roxy Bar & Screen this Halloween.

The evening will feature an exhibit of a few of Humphreys’ most renowned horror posters, in addition to screening two of the movies that were bestowed with the artist’s iconic designs: A Nightmare On Elm Street and Evil Dead II.

Humphreys himself might be in attendance for a temporary chat about his career and his love of all things grisly and ghoulish. You’ll even have the danger to shop for signed prints of the Nightmare… and Evil Dead II artwork.

The event starts at 7pm on Monday 31 October 2011, and filmmaker and author Paul Davis (Beware The Moon, 666 Horror Movies To Die For) may be your host for the evening.

Roxy Bar & Screen
128-132 Borough High Street
London SE1 1LB

Tickets are £6 (£3 Roxy Members) and come via the Roxy website.

RSVP on Facebook here.

TF’s Sam Ashurst interviewed Humphreys for his House Of Horror column earlier this year: read that here.
