Everyone’s favorite singer-songwriter Adele has rekindled a friendship with the ex who inspired many songs from her multiplatinum 21 album.

“We’re becoming friends again. It’s alright, I DO KNOW what I’m doing. Enough time has gone by,” Adele said in a contemporary interview with the UK’s The Independent.

Like the cultured woman she is, Adele hasn’t ever disclosed the name of the scumbag gentleman that walked clear of her. Instead, she turned her pain into gut-wrenching lyrics that listeners have latched onto, making 21 by far the year’s top-selling record.

She said she has finally reached a spot of recovery where she is powerful enough to let him back into her life, especially with the success of this album.

“Now with what is going on with the album across the world, you must have the ability to share it with him because it’s marvelous what has happened,” she said. “He changed my life, I WILL NOT deny that. The album helped me recover from splitting up with my boyfriend.” Adele added, “It helped me forgive and that i hope that he has forgiven himself.”

Since we don’t know exactly what happened in her past relationship, we studied some lyrics from 21 to take a look at to get the scoop…

When will I see you again? You left with out a goodbye, not a single word was said,No final kiss to seal any seams,I had no idea of the state we were in

So, an excessively abrupt breakup…loser

But there is a side to youThat I never knew, never knewAll the things you’d sayThey were never true, never true,And the games you playYou would always win, always win

He changed on you! Lied to you! And he was a player? We hate him.

I heard that you are settled downThat you found a lady and you’re married nowI heard that your dreams came trueGuess she gave you things I DID NOT give to you

He’s already found another person? Isn’t there like a 3-month “no dating anyone else” rule?

On the opposite hand, and we hate to be selfish on this situation, but without this creep we wouldn’t have this chart-topping album or her legendary performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Hopefully there’s a Prince Charming available in the market waiting to inspire her next album. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you, Adele!
