Hellraiser remake faces more delays

13 Sep

Pinhead might not be pleased…

It seems like Hellraiser is headed for the seventh circle of development hell.

The project has already been through more directors than Pinhead’s got through souls, and now the newest additions – Drive Angry duo Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier – have dropped out.

We’re undecided why they left, nevertheless it may need something to do with the truth the production company behind the remake – those lovely Weinsteins – want it to be a PG-13.

Which probably means slightly less skin-flaying than within the original. Rendering it just a bit bit pointless.

Still, we’re sure this is not the last we’ll hear from the project. After all, the atrocious Hellraiser: Revelations was made so the brothers could hang directly to the remake rights.

Is it just us, or does this feel a bit of like Pinhead’s become sentient and is ushering in a brand new Hell on this planet via the medium of Hellraiser sequels?

Oh, it’s only us? Okay, cool.

Are you pleased this project appears to be cursed, or would you like more Pinhead flicks? Tell us!
